Brandon Laird

Brandon Laird is the assistant director of bands at Texas A&M University. In this role, he conducts the Concert Band and assists with the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band.

Laird has an extensive background in public school music education, having taught at Silsbee ISD, Nederland ISD and Galena Park ISD. During his tenure, his bands consistently achieved UIL Sweepstakes Awards and were recognized as TMEA Honor Band Area qualifiers. His ensembles also earned recognition as National Wind Band Mark of Excellence Commended Winners. The North Shore Senior High School marching bands that Laird assisted with were named as consistent 6A Area-F Finalists and qualifiers for the UIL State Marching Contest.

He resides in College Station, Texas with his wife, Morgan, and their children, Jude and Ava.
