Audition for a Texas A&M Choir!

Interested in auditioning for a choir? Choral auditions consist of singing My Country Tis of Thee and a brief sight-reading component. Once auditioned, our choir directors will place you into a choir.

Audition Form

The Century Singers perform a diverse repertoire concentrating on classical choral literature, as well as folk songs, spirituals, popular songs and show tunes. The choir performs throughout the Bryan/College Station community and the state at campus events, church services and conventions. Members have the opportunity to participate in various social events throughout the year including overnight retreats and activities such as ice-skating, movie nights and group dinners. Involvement in both social gathering and formal rehearsals brings members together as Aggies, musicians and friends, and creates a truly unique and rewarding experience that will be remembered for a lifetime.

The choir was established at Texas A&M University in 1971 as the New Tradition Singers and was the first chorus and student organization that allowed both male and female members. In 1976, the ensemble was renamed to the Texas A&M Century Singers to commemorate Texas A&M’s 100 years of establishment.

Since its inception, Century Singers has stayed true to its purpose of representing Texas A&M to audiences both across the country and internationally. We do so by promoting choral excellence in an institution of higher learning and offering the university community an opportunity to experience classical masterpieces of choral literature.
